Technical Extrusion Blowmoulding is Elmeg’s core technology. It is a plasXc transformaXon technology ideal for making hollow parts with just one process (tank, ducts, containers, etc.) PlasXc is melted down and extruded; aper the heatening and melXng phase, plasXc material becomes a tube-like shape called «parison». The «parison» is closed into a mould, and like in a big balloon, the air is inflated in it so that it expands into the mould cavity. Cooling in contact with the mould cavity walls makes it solid again and assumes the desired shape. This is the basic concept of extrusion blow moulding technology.
